Redeemed Woodworks is dedicated to preserving the past by making it part of our future.

We believe each piece of lumber reclaimed from barns and buildings built a century ago have an opportunity for a new purpose, to show their inner beauty beneath the decades of use and abuse. Each board used in the creation of unique, custom, hand-crafted furniture carries its own unique identity that can be appreciated for generations to come.

Established in 2020 by Chance Gaines, Redeemed Woodworks started from a passion of revealing the beauty held within the century old lumber used in the homes and barns of our ancestors. Beginning at the age of 12, Chance spent a summer with his father tearing down a century old house destined for demolition. Over that long, hot summer, each board was carefully dismantled, de-nailed, and stored away for future use. It wouldn’t be for many years later when the need for furniture for his own home arose, that he began to harness his skills in the creation of custom furniture. What started as a hobby has now grown into a mission to reclaimed and preserve old-growth lumber to create one-of-a-kind custom furniture for homes and businesses across Pennsylvania.
